Trees raised by hand,
not by the thousand.

Maple Ridge grows a limited number of select trees on western Wisconsin land — each one raised slow, by hand, and cared for individually. A few are ready to reserve now; the rest are growing for the years ahead.

Why we're different

We grow value, not volume — a few of the right trees, each cared for by hand.

Our approach

What goes into a Maple Ridge tree

We're not a big-box lot moving inventory by the pallet. Every tree here is raised slow and finished by hand — no shortcuts, no rush.

01

Potted first

Every tree spends a year or two in a pot — the right water, the right soil, room for its roots to find themselves — before it ever hits the ground.

02

Tested by Wisconsin

Then moved to good Wisconsin dirt and proven by real seasons. A tree raised this way comes out of the gate stronger.

03

Cared for individually

Limited quantities mean every tree is planted, protected, watered, mulched, and pruned by hand.

04

Planted, or not

Take your tree home and plant it yourself, or add our planting service.

From recovery to resilience

We started Maple Ridge to grow trees the way our grandpas would have — sturdy, local, and without a bar code. We both grew up on dairy farms, where planting and harvesting were part of everyday life, and that way of life stuck with us.

Our land is still regenerating from the tornado that took out nearly everything six years ago. What was once devastation is slowly becoming something productive, resilient, and full of life again — and every tree we grow is part of that story.

"In twenty years, when one of these is shading a backyard in western Wisconsin, the youngest hands on the farm will know they were on it."

So if you're thinking ahead about shade, privacy, a windbreak, or planting something meaningful for the next generation — we're growing with you in mind.

Optional planting service

Take it home, or let us plant it

Plenty of folks load up and plant themselves — and that's great. But if you'd rather, our team will deliver and plant for you. Same tree, your choice.

01

Pick your tree

Choose the right species for your site and soil — with our help if you want it.

02

Take it or leave it to us

Plant it yourself, or add delivery and planting by the people who grew it.

03

Set up to thrive

Either way, you'll leave with everything your tree needs to take hold.
